Our Head Coach Wins East Midlands Development Coach of the Year!

Our very own Head Coach Amy Roberts attended the East Midlands Awards, where she won
Development Coach of the year.
Amy was one of six other coaches that had been nominated for this award.
Amy says "To receive this award is an honour and to have been nominated by two separate people
was a complete shock".
One of the nominees said “Coach Amy has profoundly impacted youth swimming
through her exceptional coaching and mentorship. Her innovative training methods
have led young swimmers to unprecedented success. She fosters a positive and
encouraging environment instilling confidence and a love for the sport in her swimmers”.

Amy was then invited to attend the national awards that took place at Birmingham
University on 30th November. Unfortunately, Amy didn’t win the National Award, but to
be part of the group of other coaches that had been nominated is a huge achievement.

This award means a lot to our Head Coach who has been a member of the club since
she was 7 years old.

Amy has a passion for the sport, and this is shown through our own swimmers who
achieve multiple personal bests at every Open Meet that we attend.
