Imogen Clark
Imogen Clark started swimming for Rykneld at a very young age as her grandad was one of the founding members of the Rykneld Swimming Club. Her Dad and uncle both swum for the club too!

It was very clear from the start that Imi had talent; this was clear to see when she started to compete. From a young age she also swam with the performance squad Derventio Excel whilst still swimming and competing for Rykneld.
Over the years Imi has competed in many events, both national and International. She is also the British record holder for 50m Breaststroke. Some are of her achievements are listed below:
- 2019 European Championships - British Record and Silver Medal
- 2022 Commonwealth Games – British Record and Silver Medal
- 2022 European Championships - Bronze Medal
- 2022 World Championships – Finalist 6th and British Record
- 2023 European Championships – Bronze Medal 50m Breaststroke and Bronze in the Women’s medal relay
Imi continues to pass her knowledge onto the younger generation by running her own swim camps and also being part of the Adam Peaty team, helping deliver sessions on his training camps.
Imi will always drop down when she can to training nights and she is more than happy to speak to the younger swimmers and pass her wealth of knowledge onto the next generation.
Rykneld are proud to have Imi as a member of the club and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
