Competitive Squad Swimming

Junior Squads

Junior 1 - Aimed at swimmers who are transitioning from being taught to being coached. Swimmers focus on building confidence on all four strokes and are introduced to the technical elements used in competitive swimming.

Junior 2 – Aimed at swimmers who wish to develop their technique on all four strokes. Swimmers are encouraged to compete at this stage and should be working towards qualifying for the County Championships.

Intermediate Squad

Aimed at swimmers who have good technique on all four strokes but want to develop their stamina. Swimmers should have a desire to compete at various, different level, open meets and should be aiming to qualify for County Championships in multiple events.

Advanced Squads

Advanced 1 – Aimed at swimmers who have good skill, stamina and technical elements. Swimmers train at a higher intensity than Intermediates, with greater distance covered during sessions. Swimmers should be working towards qualifying for the Regional Championships.

Advanced 2 – Aimed at swimmers who have good skill, stamina and technical elements. Swimmers train at a higher intensity than Advanced 1, with greater distance covered during sessions. Swimmers should be aiming to qualify for the Regional Championships in multiple events  

Masters Squads

Aimed at those who wish to maintain their fitness in the pool, offered on a pro rata system. Swimmers are encouraged to enter Masters specific Open Meets if they wish to continue, or reignite, their passion for competing.
