Learn to Swim
Rykneld's Learn to Swim follows the Swim England framework and provides one or two 30-minute / 45-minute sessions per week for each of the swimmers in the Learn to Swim programme.
Our team of swimming teachers and coaches take great pride in teaching the next generation of swimmers, so that they can be safe in the water and learn a lifelong skill. Water activities are proven to have a positive impact on mental and physical health, regardless of age and ability so at Rykneld Learn to Swim, we work hard to cultivate this enjoyment in all of our members.
All our sessions are fun and inclusive whilst maintaining the highest standards of stroke teaching and development (as you would expect from a Swim England affiliated swimming club).
As part of our Learn to Swim Programme all of our swimmers will have the opportunity to gain certificates through the National Plan Stages, as well as earning distance badges. These will be completed during lessons and also on our club distance nights that we host.
New swimmers will be put in the correct group for their level - our current groups are:
| Starfish | 30 mins per week | Sundays 4 - 4.30pm (small pool) |
| Goldfish | 1 hour per week | Fridays 7.05 - 7.35pm and Sundays 4.30 - 5pm (small pool) |
| Dolphins | 1 hour 15 mins per week | Fridays 7.35 - 8.05pm (small pool) and Sundays 5 - 5.45pm (big pool). |
